About Sooraj Puri

Sooraj Puri (born: Arjun Puri in 22nd Februaru 1996) is a famous Nepali teen model and PRIX JEUNESSE International Youth Jury 2010, who won the prestigious modeling hunt in Nepal, Future Models Talent Hunt in 2010 and is represented by one of the oldest Modelling Agencies In Nepal, Dreams Unlimited since 2012.

Eary Life
Born in 22nd February in 1996, he did his schooling from Future Star English Secondary School, Dallu and subsequently won the Late Babulal Memorial Scholarship in 2010 worth Rs. 15000/- for topping the SLC batch from his School. During his stay in School, he won numerous painting contests, poem contests and Quiz contests. He holds the recor4d for scoring the highest percentage in SLC from his School as of 2013. He represented his school in the national conventions of Students Quality Circe (SQC) in 2009 and 2010. In 2010, he and his team performed a case study on “Hesitancy In Enlish Speaking”, a common problem of he students in boarding schools of Nepal which own wide acclaim for its unique presentation.

Early Career
Impressed by his speaking skills, Mr. Manoj Kumar Shrestha, the principle of Future Star Eng. School granted him the scholarship to participate in School Representative Media Training (SRMT) from the famous Today’s Youth Asia managed by Santosh Shah,the Global Pece Ambassador. He graduated the course with “The Most Consistent Pformer” award. During this course, he was choosen to representate Nepali youth in PRIX JEUNESSE Youth Jury. He also participated and successfully won the Future Model Talent Hunt 2010. As a prize, he was given a chan to photoshoot in Studio7, Putalisadak.

Professional Career
He says, he had no wish of pursuing a career in the modeling field, until Hrishant Bipashwa Rai, the only Talent And Modelling Scout in Nepal spotted him in Facebook. According to Hrishant, He was impressed by his boyish charm and his six pack abs. Then he signed with the major modeling agency in Nepal. “Drteams Unlimited”. His portfolio was assembled by Shiva Lal Shjrestha , a pioneer photographer of Nepali Fashion Industry in Tasveer Studio. Then, he debued his professional career by being in the cover page of “Life And Times”, in the segment Prostyle Fashion. After this, he did a number of fashion shows, more prominently being th Civil Trade Fashion show and he had shoot for the print ads of Rainbow Clothing Store.

Hrishant Bipashwa Rai, the first talent and Model Scout of Nepal has revealed that, He spotted teen male model Sooraj Puri. He says, he was surfing on Facebook and he happened to see the profile of Sooraj Puri. According to him, he instantly felt that he is born to model. He says,”While I saw his photos, I liked his innocencely boyish charm and six pack abs.”

He then contacted him and suggested him to opt for modeling. “he was hesitant to start a carrer in modelling”, says hrishant. But he persuaded him and agreed him to be represent him by this agency, Truiefaces Talent Management. But things didn’t work out and Sooraj Puri signed, ”Dreams Unlimited”, managed by Bijaya Shrestha.

We don’t care who signed Sooraj but we care that because of Hrishant, Nepali Fashion Industry has found a great talent!
